Welcome 2010
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. We are now in our 5th year of our I.O.W.A. Team Walleye Tournament Trail. We have had growth every year since we started this circuit. We are confident we will continue to grow this year despite of the condition of our economy.
We will continue to provide a professional style event designed for the weekend angler. All of the qualifiers are one day events and are held on Sundays.
The 2010 season is set and ready to begin. We are very excited to be bringing you to some of the greatest walleye lakes that this state has to offer. We start off the year April 11 at Clear
Lake. Following our first qualifier we are heading to Storm Lake on May 2nd for the Kings' Pointe Resort Qualifier - an excellent opportunity for family fun and an awesome crankbait bite.
We look forward to our 3rd event at West/East Okoboji. This will be the first ever opportunity for the I.O.W.A. teams to test the waters of West Okoboji. We finish off the regular season, with the 4th qualifier, on the Mississippi River in Davenport on Pool 16.
The 2010 State Championship will be held on Lake Rathbun on October 2nd and 3rd. We start things off here with an awards banquet and a dinner!
Christine and I have had the pleasure of getting to know many of the teams that competed in our tournaments and we have made a number of great friends. We invite you to participate in our events in 2010. We are sure you will have an enjoyable experience and make some great friends along the way. To quote our 2007 Champion Kolby Kester and his partner Brandon Berg, “If you are looking for attitudes, you will find none here”!
This circuit is also comprised of many family teams including husband/wife, father/son, brothers, and etc. We averaged 15 family teams at each event in 2007. If you want to create memories with your son, daughter, brother, sister, mother, father or grandparents this is the place for you. I can tell you on a personal note that many of my greatest memories are fishing a tournament with my sons and my wife.
Please take your time and browse through the website. You will find all the rules, regulations, awards, sponsors and the entry form you need to get entered into a qualifier for 2010. Fish one or fish them all, you will be glad you did.
The format for 2010 will be a $240.00 entry fee and $20.00 to the championship fund and an 80% payback in addition to all of the fine prizes and awards given out at each event.
Keep an eye on the message board as this will be the place that many new announcements or schedule changes will be made.
Have a great season!
