Welcome

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. We are now in our 3rd year of our  I.O.W.A. Team Walleye Tournament Trail. Our first year we averaged 36 teams per qualifier. In 2007 we averaged 42 teams per qualifier. This was a 17 percent growth during a year when most walleye tournament circuit numbers were down. Our goal for 2007 was to increase the number of participants as well as develop a tournament atmosphere that encourages friendship and comradere.

Christine and I have had the pleasure of getting to know many of the teams that competed in our tournaments and we have made a number of great friends. We invite you to participate in our events in 2008. We are sure you will have an enjoyable experience and make some great friends along the way. To quote our 2007 Champion Kolby Kester and his partner Brandon Berg, “If you are looking for attitudes, you will find none here”!

This circuit is also comprised of many family teams including husband/wife, father/son, brothers, and etc. We averaged 15 family teams at each event in 2007. If you want to create memories with your son, daughter, brother, sister, mother, father or grandparents this is the place for you. I can tell you on a personal note that many of my greatest memories are fishing a tournament with my sons and my wife.
Please take your time and browse through the website. You will find all the rules, regulations, awards, sponsors and  the entry form you need to get entered into a qualifier for 2008. Fish one or fish all, you will be glad you did.

There are some key changes to the 2008 rules and regulations, make sure you read them carefully. There is 4 qualifying tournaments and you will need to fish at least 3 of them to be “invited” to the 2008 Championship hosted by Cabela’s at Prairie du Chien, WI. If you fish all 4 of the qualifiers, you will have the option to “throw out” your worst finish towards the Team of the Year award and Family Team of the Year award. We are also having an award for the heaviest combined stringer for the year. At the end of the 4 qualifiers, the Mercury Heavy Weight Award (a Mercury 9.9 Pro Kicker Motor) will be presented.
The format for 2008 will be a $240.00 entry fee and $20.00 to the championship fund and an 80% payback.

Keep an eye on the message board as this will be the place that many new announcements or schedule changes will be made.
Have a great season!
